Factory Expansion: New 3,000㎡ Class 100,000 Clean Room
Doubling Production Capacity
SGO Medical has completed a strategic ¥45 million factory expansion project, adding 3,000 square meters of Class 100,000 (ISO 8) clean room manufacturing space to our Shanghai production campus. This expansion doubles our production capacity for sterile medical devices and positions us to meet rapidly growing global demand.
New Facility Highlights
- Clean Room Classification: ISO 8 (Class 100,000) with dedicated ISO 7 (Class 10,000) zones for final assembly of critical devices
- Production Lines: 4 new automated assembly lines with vision inspection systems for surgical staplers, trocars, and suture packaging
- Equipment Investment: 12 new 5-axis CNC machining centers (DMG MORI), 3 Swiss-type lathes (Citizen), and 2 wire EDM systems (Sodick)
- Quality Lab: Expanded metrology lab with Zeiss CONTURA CMM, optical profilometer, and environmental test chambers
- Warehousing: 1,000㎡ temperature-controlled finished goods warehouse with automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS)
Sustainability Features
The new facility incorporates green building design principles with solar panels generating 200kW peak power, rainwater harvesting system, LED lighting with occupancy sensors, and HVAC energy recovery systems. These features reduce the facility's carbon footprint by an estimated 30% compared to conventional construction.
Impact on Capacity
With this expansion, our annual production capacity increases from 2 million to 5 million units of surgical devices, and our CNC machining capacity increases by 150%. We anticipate creating 80 new manufacturing and quality positions over the next 12 months.
